Business card best practices
- Standard size: 85 × 55 mm, the European standard that fits card holders. In the US, cards are usually 3.5 × 2 in.
- Only the essentials: name, job title, one phone number, one email, one website.
- A contact QR code: people save your details without retyping anything.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print my cards at home?
Choose “A4 sheet of 10 cards”, print on thick paper (250 gsm or more) at 100% / actual size (not “fit to page”), then cut along the crop marks.
What about a print shop?
Choose “Single card for printers”: the PDF measures 91 × 61 mm, with a 3 mm bleed all around, as online printing services require.
What size are the cards?
85 × 55 mm, the standard business card size in Europe. US business cards are slightly different (3.5 × 2 in, about 89 × 51 mm), so check your print shop’s requirements if you print in the US.
What does the QR code contain?
